3 merged PRs in an open source project with 8,800+ stars: a Windows-only bug and two duplicate-hook fixes.
Context
The 1.x → 2.0 migration crash-looped, but only on Windows.
Solution
On Windows the lock on the running process file is mandatory and blocked the pre-migration backup; on Linux and macOS it is advisory, which is why the bug never showed up there. I excluded the file from the backup and added a unit test (#597). I also fixed duplicate Cursor hook events (#722) and added a warning for wrappers that mention ai-memory (#723).
What it shows
- 3 merged PRs (#597, #722, #723).
- Diagnosed by reading the flow; Windows validation was done by the maintainer during review.
- A real example of OS-specific behavior.
